Commissioned by the 7th Changwon Sculpture Biennale 2024(Production: Sindae Kang)

Micaela Benedicto works with geometric forms, sequences, and patterns that reflect her understanding of architecture and music. Spirals that diminish along the angles of a rectangle, structures folded along lines that create triangles, and even shapes that fold into staircases — all are folded or stretched cross-sections of familiar basic shapes. Different spaces and objects are projected onto the stainless mirror sheet surfaces of the Mirror Figures series depending on the viewer’s position and movement.
