Changwon Sculpture Biennale 2020 PR Supporters Group begins online activities
The PR Supporters Group for the Changwon Sculpture Biennale 2020, created by Changwon Cultural Foundation ahead of the Biennale (9/17~11/1) to generate a wider variety of Biennale-related content and help bolster the Foundation’s PR activities for the Biennale, began PR activities via online platforms last month.
The Changwon Cultural Foundation selected a group of PR Supporters (minimum 20 years old, Changwon-si resident) in March to “promote the Changwon Sculpture Biennale with content created by Changwon-si citizens.” The program garnered significant interest with 105 applicants, far surpassing the Changwon Cultural Foundation’s expectations. To take advantage of public interest in the Biennale, the Foundation decided to increase the number of PR Supporters from 20 to 50.
The PR Supporters Group’s activities are divided into online/offline activities. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, however, offline PR activities have been put on hold until further notice. Once the government declares the COVID-19 pandemic is under complete control in Korea, the Changwon Cultural Foundation will host offline PR briefing sessions to begin face-to-face PR activities.
Meanwhile, the PR Supporters Group started its online PR activities in April. Moving forward, members of the Group will publish their own content more than once a month on their personal blogs or SNS accounts in line with the topic of content posted in the official cafe (blog) for the Biennale.
The PR Supporters Group’s first online mission is to “Introduce past Changwon Sculpture Biennale events” and to “Introduce “Famous sculptors from Changwon-si.” By doing so, the PR Supporters Group will play a crucial role in providing information on why Changwon came to host a Biennale for “Sculptures.”
We look forward to your interest in the activities of the inaugural PR Supporters Group, which will offer different types of content compared to past Changwon Sculpture Biennale events.
